5.0L/3.0L Timing Chains

First we will start with a bit of the history. Jaguar used the 4.2L V8 engine from 2004 to 2009. It was also used in Land Rover/Range Rover from 2006 to 2009. These engines had very few major issues and continue to run into 350 km plus. In 2010 the V8 engine was redesigned to the 5.0L and 3.0L. The internal parts of the engine tend to wear out especially when oil changes are neglected. This leads to the knocking noise that sounds similar to a diesel engine. At this point timing chains, guides, and tensioners should be changed as well as other variables. If the internal parts do not get replaced in time, it can lead to catastrophic damages to your engine, bringing the costs much higher. In some cases and can even lead to complete engine replacement which can cost upwards of $15,000 for a used engine.
